July arrives wrapped in rain.
Mountain after mountain fades into the distance,
each one softened by water and mist.
The landscape hides, then reveals.
Not all at once,
but one layer at a time.
On the edge of the valley,
a small village watches in silence.
An island within an island.
Holding its place while the weather passes.
There are days when we cannot see very far.
Yet the mountains remain.
The water keeps finding its way.
And beyond the clouds,
the light has never left.
July reminds us that hope is not always found in clear skies.
Sometimes,
