A year of images, now materialised in book form

A book that materialises a year of observation — and points to what comes next

Throughout 2025, the Workspace Invaders project followed the landscape of Madeira month by month as a continuous exercise in observation, pause, and connection to place. What began as a series of digital publications has now taken physical form in a book that brings together all the images and texts from the year.

This book was created as an internal project at oneline, developed and produced entirely in-house — from editing and pagination to printing and final assembly. More than an annual record, it is an object conceived with intention: a book meant to be handled, browsed, and experienced over time.

Alongside the book, a video was produced to document the making of the object itself. The footage reveals the different stages of pagination and printing, making visible what is usually hidden: the gesture, the technique, and the care behind the final result. The film closes with a subtle shift in time — from 2025 to 2026 — quietly suggesting the natural continuation of the project.

Workspace Invaders 2025 was not conceived as a large-scale product.
Only small quantities were produced, respecting the project’s core values: time, attention, and proximity. The book will, however, be available to those interested, through direct contact.

This object reflects how oneline thinks about and practises design:
with time, with intention, and with a strong connection between process, content, and territory.
It is also a deeply personal work, where authorship and professional practice consciously intersect.

The journey continues.
2026 is already on the horizon.
