Symbolize to make it effective! Communicate qualities through image attributes.

The logo stands out simply, with a skillful touch and with a strong statement. A declaration of rights. Created to prosper, it is born from the new modern, even if it is to evolve or let go of fashion. A logo is not fashion. It has to be “direct” to the public and communicate across all age and cultural groups. This will speak for itself in a valuable way with well-defined objectives. It must be memorable. Easy to recognize and easily describe the most basic of elements. It will be used in a variety of media, on different platforms, formats, and sizes. Be proportional and balanced, making sure it works as a whole.

It is important, from the beginning when creating a logo, to define the use of the image application. In this way, prepare the tasks for the different stages of the process. The first phase of this project is the “brief” (summary or synthesis), summarizing the strategic guidelines to support the evolution of the proposal.

The construction of a map of words associated with the word (Insula) is present in the first drafts, in the search for interpretation through association. The experimentation of writing the word, drawing letters, and translating it into shapes, reproduces other new ideas, trying the final solution of identity.

Interpretation

Thinking about “identity” is thinking about an “image” that differs from other “images” that already exist. The image created here is defined as a logo, made up of other images and letters, that identifies, represents, and symbolizes. It’s about creating something unique and unrepeatable while maintaining its exclusivity of representation. Its substance has a valuable potential to be symbolized, or to be the reference of various identities. Its form arises from the articulation and association of words.

Its potential will be realized throughout its existence and its interpretation strengthens the thinking combined with its construction. This is why it is extremely important that the game of words (definition) meets the game of forms (representation) in the best possible way.

In symbolism, this logo has an asymmetry due to the difference or even understanding of similarity. The projection of the shape (island) on a plane line rests as a base, fixing the element in space, and making it resistant to the support’s orientations.

The prismatic shapes are proportional, following a harmonic principle of composition. Its edges are directed to the middles, thirds, fourths, fifths,… of the rectangle in which the total shape is contained.

The distribution of forms into a main, larger form (mother), with a smaller one (son) presented with a distance and separation, isolation, and continuity.
The three-dimensionality of the island shape is defined by the faceted planes, with the preponderant relationship of the blue color tone.
